Welcome to OCC Campus Ministry! |
Campus Ministry is located at the OCC Enrichment Center in room J184. |
Welcome to the
Oakland Community College Catholic Campus Ministry! Our ministry wants
to provide a space for students to explore and deepen their Catholic
faith, whether through socializing, scripture, service...or a smorgasbord
of other activities (trying to stay with the "s" alliteration,
what can we say?). In fact, if you've got ideas, we're here to help you
make them happen!
At the same time, as a ministry, we are committed to throwing the doors wide open. Christ was a welcomer, drawing a diverse range of people to the table, so we strive to do the same. Our first task in approaching another person, another culture, another religious tradition, is to take off our shoes, for the place we approach is holy. Else we may find ourselves treading on another’s dream. More serious still, we may forget that God was there before our arrival. |
